Completed Bridal Jewelry

This page is dedicated to all of the bridal jewelry I have designed and created for the special day!

It consists of :

The bride's jewelry, maid of honor jewelry, bridesmaid jewelry, and hair pieces.

Jewelry for the Bride:

Jewelry for the Bride:

The bride wore a magnificent, rouched, strapless satin dress.  Her hair was worn up in a simple twist.  She only wanted to wear statement earrings as her jewelry.  Based on the dress, her hairstyle, and her taste, I designed these exquisite, feminine and classic drop earrings.  Although substantial, they were comfortable to wear all day.

Needless to say, the bride looks absolutely gorgeous!

Jewelry for the Bride:

The bride's gown had a sweetheart neckline and she chose to have a large pair of earrings designed for her as she was not going to wear a necklace.

She also wanted to have a bracelet designed that would complement the earrings.  When the bride saw the bracelet,  she decided that she  would like to have one made for her sister (who was also her Maid of Honor) so that they had the same jewelry to commorate the special occassion.

The only variation between the matching bracelets was that the bride's had blue Swarovski crystal beads added by the toggle- as her "touch of blue".

Jewelry for the Bride:

This spectacular piece compliments the bride's gown, and the look that she wants to create for her special day!

The Freshwater Coin Pearls are grey and cream in color.  They coordinate with the embroidery on the bust part of her dress.  The necklace also contains various sized Swarovski crystals- some of which are a very pale blue.  The pale blue was chosen as blue is the color of luck, and the bride's bridesmaid's dresses are blue.  I didnt want it to be overpowering, so just a touch of the color.  The rest of the piece is loaded with Sterling Silver beads, and a thick gauge chain.

Earrings to match.

Heart clasp closure, and as a personal touch, I added a turquoise colored, butterfly shaped Swarovski crystal, next to the heart, as the bride's mother has passed away,  blue was her favorite color, and matches the exact color of the bridesmaid dresses.

Jewelry for the Bride:

This piece was made for a spectacular wedding in Haiti.

This piece is comprised of various colored Freshwater Pearls, Biwa Pearls, and different Sterling Silver beads, and components.  Sterling Silver chain.

Earrings to match.

Hairpieces

Bridal hairpiece:

The bride requested a large haircomb that was whimsical, and had a "vine" element/look to it.

Swarovski crystals and pearls, sterling silver beads, and rhinestones were used in this magnificent hair piece

Bridal hair combs:

Two 2'' combs adorned with 2 types of Freshwater Pearls, various Swarovski crystals, Smoky Quartz, Sterling Silver, and silver wire.

Bridal hairpiece:

Custom order for a bride that has long hair and will be wearing it in a large side bun.  She is wearing a strapless, lace dress, with a beaded belt that has a lot of brown in it.  The hairpiece is 5'' long x 1.5'' deep and consists of Freshwater Pearls, Swarovski crystals, Czech glass beads, Sterling Silver beads, and Smoky Quartz.

Bridal hair combs:

Freshwater rice Pearls, Sterling Silver beads and wire.  Very simple and elegant.

Bridal hair clip:

The bride wore her hair half up, and wanted a clip that would be able to hold her thick hair and stay stationary while moving around all day.

Freshwater Coin Pearls, Swarovski crystals, Sterling Silver beads, and wrapped with silver cord.

Wedding Party Jewelry

Mother of the Bride Jewelry:

The bride wanted to surprise her mom with a pair of earrings that she would wear to her wedding.  The mother of the bride's dress was a dark blue gown with matching jacket.  With all of the beading on the dress, it was not necessary to wear a lot of jewelry, but keep it simple and elegant with exquisite earrings.

Cubic zirconia's set in sterling silver settings.

Simple and elegant!

Bridal Party Jewelry:

The bride wanted to have the same necklace made for each of her bridesmaids, and requested the necklace be "simple" and a piece they would be able to wear after the wedding was over.

I suggested a simple bezel style pendant.  The bride agreed and I designed a cubic zirconia pendant in a sterling silver bezel with a simple sterling silver chain.

Although all of the bridesmaids wore the same necklace, the bride requested that their earrings all be different and chose from several samples that I made.  The bride chose which earrings would best suit each of her girls based on their personality and style.  Again, the earrings were designed with the notion that they would be worn and enjoyed after ther wedding was over.

Maid of Honor Jewelry:

The Maid of Honor (to the bride who ordered the hairclip above) contacted me shortly before the wedding to ask if I would be able to create a bracelet that she would be able to wear on that special day, that coordinated with her sister's hairpiece.  Voila!

Bridesmaid and Maid of Honor Jewelry:

A beautiful bride contacted me to ask if I could design a brooch for her ladies dresses.  I was definitely interested in the  opportunity to create something different for her special day.  I asked her to please send me pictures of the bridesmaid dresses and designed 3 different options for what she was looking for.

I had to think outside of the box for this one, as I was concerned that a typical brooch would pull the sheer and delicate material the dresses were made from. I also wanted to design something that her ladies would be able to enjoy after the special day passes.

The design I came up with was a barette, that could be worn as a brooch.

It is a long barette, and is flat.  It is a design that would not pinch the skin, pull on the dress, and would have the look that the bride was hoping for.

The colors in the "brooch" are significant to the brides wishes as her husband and his groomsmen were wearing an aqua blue vest and tie, the flowers would have blue in them, and there was similar blue lighting in the wedding hall that would be used for their event.  As a wedding is a big celebration, I wanted to design something that reminded me of bubbles, excitement, and pizzaz.

In the end, the bride was thrilled with the uniqueness of each piece, how the design complimented the dresses, and the overall look on each one of her ladies.

(stones used:  hematite, Swarovski crystals and pearls, sterling silver, and onyx)

*  note:  the maid of honor's brooch is slightly different from the bridesmaids.  (MOH- bottom of the left hand photo).

The happy couple and their wedding party:

October 8, 2016

Bridesmaid Jewelry:

Custom order for a beautiful Vermont wedding!  The bride wanted elements in the pieces that represented her, the groom, and their relationship.

The bracelets are an open Brass cuff adorned with Freshwater Pearls, Wood, Sterling Silver, and as a focal point, a piece of natural Sea Glass found in Lloyd Harbor, NY.

Earrings to match are made up of Brass earring findings, Wood, Sterling Silver, and Freshwater Pearls.

Bridesmaid Jewelry:

The bride wanted something a little different, a little bold, yet feminine for her bridesmaid jewelry.

I designed a floral necklace that would compliment the bold color of the dresses.

Each necklace has an enormous Sterling Silver flower that is complimented by Smoky Quartz, Swarowski crystals, Freshwater Pearls, and Sterling silver beads and spacers.   I kept it neutral, and earthy to compliment each lady in the bridal party.

Long dangle earrings to match.

Flower Girl Jewelry:

The bride lives in NY, but was going to travel to her native Louisiana to be married.

She did not have a birdal party, however, had 4 flower girls in her wedding.  The little girls were all wearing white dresses with large fuscia colored sashes.  The bride requested to have 4 similar necklaces made, but something that they would be able to wear when they were older.

Working within the parameters of the bride's budget, and based on pictures of flower girl jewelry she liked, I made a couple of suggestions as to a design and theme that would work best for her.

The final pieces were a variation of pink colored Swarovski crystals along with a sterling silver chain.  All of the chain's were the same length- which would hit at the chest line- but as the girls grow older, the necklaces would fit reasonably around their necks.  Depending on how thier body types will be as adults, I used extender chains so that the length could be adjusted.

As an element of personalization on each necklace, I handhammered a silver disc and added their respective initial to each piece.

Simple and sweet!
