  • The Bride's Feedback:   Thank you thank you!!  We had an amazing time and it was more than we dreamed it could be!!  Your fantastic creations looked phenomenal on the girls dresses with them all dolled up!!  When I get better pictures of the girls I will send them to you but this is what I have right now. Thank you for everything again!!

  • Details:  A beautiful bride contacted me to ask if I could design a brooch for her ladies dresses.  I was definitely interested in the  opportunity to create something different for her special day.  I asked her to please send me pictures of the bridesmaid dresses and designed 3 different options for what she was looking for.

I had to think outside of the box for this one, as I was concerned that a typical brooch would pull the sheer and delicate material the dresses were made from. I also wanted to design something that her ladies would be able to enjoy after the special day passes.

The design I came up with was a barrette, that could be worn as a brooch.

It is a long barrette, and is flat.  It is a design that would not pinch the skin, pull on the dress, and would have the look that the bride was hoping for.

The colors in the "brooch" are significant to the brides wishes as her husband and his groomsmen were wearing an aqua blue vest and tie, the flowers would have blue in them, and there was similar blue lighting in the wedding hall that would be used for their event.  As a wedding is a big celebration, I wanted to design something that reminded me of bubbles, excitement, and pizazz.

In the end, the bride was thrilled with the uniqueness of each piece, how the design complimented the dresses, and the overall look on each one of her ladies.

(stones used:  hematite, Swarovski crystals and pearls, sterling silver, and onyx)
